Örneğin;
Ben bir öğretmenim: I am a teacher
Sen bir öğrencisin: You are a student
Sen çok güzelsin: You are very beautiful.
Olumlu cümle:
Özne + yardımcı fiil (am, is, are) + nesne veya sıfat
I am a student.
You are a student
We are students.
They are students
He is a student
She is a student
It is a student
Olumsuz cümle:
Özne + yardımcı fiil (am, is, are) + not + nesne veya sıfat
I am not a student.
You are not a student.
We are not students.
They are not students
He is a student.
She is a student.
It is a student.

Yardımcı fiil (am, is, are) + özne + nesne veya sıfat
